A gay romantic comedy about a group of New York waiters dealing with dating, sex, and relationships.

“A charming, witty, sexy film" HX Magazine

"A gay version of Sex and the City” New York Post

Markus (writer/director Casper Andreas) returns home to find his boyfriend of four years naked with another man. Newly single, he begins waiting tables at a swinging Chelsea hotspot where the indelible supporting cast of co-workers offers conflicting directions on the off-road map to love and lust in New York City. Peter (Jeffrey Christopher Todd) insists on holding out for "the one", and Marilyn (Virginia Bryan) vows by her "dating commandments." Meanwhile, lascivious Luke (Jesse Archer) promises the film its title by delivering firecracker quips on the joys of his sexcapades. He believes that sleeping around is the best medicine for a broken heart. Despite disillusion, Markus falls for gorgeous model Tyler (Jamie Hatchett) who doesn't "do relationships" because how can you promise to love somebody forever? Surprising twists, and unlikely advice await, but by the end of one unforgettable SLUTTY SUMMER, happily ever after may just be the answer.

QUOTES FROM THE PRESS:

"Sunny, silly and surprisingly pointed [SLUTTY SUMMER] is blessed with randy charm and a lot of gorgeous men" QX Magazine UK

“A charming, witty, sexy film” Brandon Voss, HX Magazine

"SLUTTY SUMMER is one of those rare commodities: A gay romantic comedy that manages to rise above its low budget and lack of 'name' actors to offer an enjoyable slice of queer life. The cast of characters are likable and good-looking, and the script is surprisingly fresh and fast-paced." Lydia Marcus, Frontiers Magazine

“SLUTTY SUMMER is proof that with a great premise, good acting, and believable events an entertaining film can be made without a big budget. Andreas has created a feel good flick to sit back and enjoy” Andy Zeffer, New York Blade

“A story worth telling... Standout performance by the Welsh-born natural Jamie Hatchett, whose heavy-lidded languor suits his bad boy Lothario character” Ned Martel, New York Times

“Briskly directed... A gay version of Sex and the City” Lou Lumenick, New York Post

“The rude title notwithstanding, writer-director-editor-star Casper Andreas' debut feature isn't hardcore porn or even a soft-core jigglefest. It's a thoughtful treatment of an important issue in the emotional lives of many gay men: commitment... [The] cast and crew have done an admirable job of backing up that hilarious title with an intelligent little film that knows its limitations and makes the most of a shoestring budget.”  Ken Fox, TV Guide

“Stinging one-liners, sexy boys and steamy sex” Jason Michael, Pride Source

"The filmmaker raises some interesting issues and captures his chosen milieu with an entertaining degree of verisimilitude" Frank Scheck, The Hollywood Reporter

"Jerry Falwell's worst nightmare" Matt Singer, Village Voice

"Props to the strong performances all around. Plus the message of finding love is sweet and the hook-up scenes are sexy and fleshy" Chris Ciompi, Genre Magazine

“SLUTTY SUMMER is fresh, fast-paced, smart, sexy, witty, intelligent, well acted, well-lensed and well written. The title is just the start of the fun. The film is full of interesting gay characters that say the most wonderfully witty and clever things yet sound realistic and wholly uncontrived. The acting here is just top-notch.” Filethirteen.com

“SLUTTY SUMMER exhibits a sincerity rarely found in the sex-farce genre and is sure to be a true crowd pleaser.” Rochester City Newspaper

"SLUTTY SUMMER is a charmer, and it's erotic too! The love scenes between Markus and Tyler are HOT! But not too graphic, as Andreas clearly understands that less is more. Andreas is a talent to watch. He impressively stretches his low budget and gets wonderful performances out of his lovely cast. This is a delightful film waiting to be discovered!" David Alexander Nahmod, Out Now

"Some fine acting" Brandon Judell, Gay City News

"The opening scene of SLUTTY SUMMER had me laughing so hard that I had to watch it again. Shocking, witty and completely unexpected" Qtexas

"Intelligent dialogue mixed with the gay banter. The meeting of the East Coast Chapter of The Broken Hearts Club comes to order in SLUTTY SUMMER"  Windy City News

“The perfect example of the modern gay love life" Willamette Weekly
