Films Boutique acquires ‘Are We Lost Forever’

Berlin-based sales agent Films Boutique has picked up international rights to David Fardmar’s Are We Lost Forever, in advance of the film’s world premiere at the 43rd Goteborg International Film Festival on January 25.

Are We Lost Forever tells the story of the end of the relationship between two young men, Hampus and Adrian. The fallout of their break-up is divided into stages of desperate attempts to reunite as well as rebounds, which sometimes push them further apart and sometimes closer together.

The drama is Fardmar’s feature directorial debut. His previous work includes 2008 short My Name is Love, a rape drama which played at over 70 film festivals, winning awards including best short film at the Philadelphia QFest and best international short film at FilmOut San Diego. In 2015 he made No More We, the short on which Are We Lost Forever is based; it screened at 45 festivals and won five awards.

Films Boutique will commence sales on Are We Lost Forever at the European Film Market (February 20-28) during the upcoming Berlinale (February 20 – March 1), where market screenings will be held. The film will also be presented at the Nordic Film Market (January 30 – February 2) in Goteborg.
