Mindy Cohn stars as Violet in "Violet Tendencies" - 7/28/2009 The "Facts of Life" star is a thrill to watch as the last of the faghags in this new comedy Violet Tendencies (formerly Bye Bye, Fruit Fly) wrapped principal photography this month! The film stars Mindy Cohn who played the lovable Natalie on the hit television series Facts of Life. The minute Mindy read this script, she said, "This character is me!" Also starring is British-born hunk Markus Patrick. Markus was famously fired from his role on Days of Our Lives after posing nude for Playgirl. Since then, he hasn't stopped taking his clothes off! He now lends his talent and body for the role of the mysterious gorgeous go-go god, Zeus. The full cast include a bunch of hot boys, a scene-stealing Kim Allen, Margret Echeverria, and gaylebrities such as: Jack Mackenroth, Hedda Lettuce, Michael Musto, Sophia Lamar, Fredrick Ford, Mike Diamond, and original Village People cowboy Randy Jones! Violet Tendencies is currently being edited, and we look forward to a 2010 release. We are seeking the final investors to bring us through post. Want to own a part of Violet Tendencies? $8,000.00 will buy you a 2% share in the film. Click here if intersted in learning more about investing |

Embrem Entertainment announces production of "Bye Bye, Fruit Fly"- 3/27/2009With a screenplay by Jesse Archer and directed by Casper Andreas, "Bye Bye, Fruit Fly" is the free-standing follow-up to the award-winning comedies "Slutty Summer" and "A Four Letter Word."... (New York, NY - March 27, 2009) Embrem Entertainment announced today it will produce the comedy "Bye Bye, Fruit Fly" (working title). Spinning off several of the characters from the company's first two films, "Slutty Summer" and "A Four Letter Word," "Bye Bye, Fruit Fly" promises raunchy excess, unforgettable characters, and more heart than ever before. Written by Jesse Archer, and to be directed by Casper Andreas, "Bye Bye, Fruit Fly" will be the third collaboration between Archer and Andreas (both Out 100 honorees in 2008). Having been hired to play the character Luke in Andreas first film "Slutty Summer," Archer teamed up with the director to write the script for that film's follow-up "A Four Letter Word," centered around the Luke character and directed by Andreas. Luke and many of the other gay characters from the previous films are back in "Bye Bye, Fruit Fly." However the story centers around Audrey, the last of the fag hags, who endeavors to leave all her gay friends behind to find a man of her own. In self-imposed exile, she discovers that you don't have to change the person you are to get what you want. "I like putting outcasts at the center of the story and allowing them to work out their truth," says Archer in a statement. "And in the gay community there is no more lovable outcast than our tried and true fruit fly!" "With humor and heartbreaking hysteria, Jesse's script tells the true meaning of family," says Andreas. "I can't wait to get started working on this wonderful story and to re-team with Jesse on yet another film." Fund-raising for "Bye Bye, Fruit Fly" has begun, and so far the producers have raised about half of the film's proposed budget of $200,000. Depending on financing and casting, the film is set to go into production as early as May 2009. Interested investors are welcome to read more about the project at www.embrem.com/fruit_fly_business_plan.pdf, and are encouraged to contact Casper Andreas, or the film's Executive Producer Mich Lyon at Embrem Entertaiment. This is the second feature film being produced by Embrem in 2009. The company is also in development of the dramedy "Going Down in LA-LA Land," based on the book by the same name by Andy Zeffer, and also to be directed by Andreas. In additon, Embrem just announced that it has picked up worldwide distribution rights to "The Big Gay Musical," a musical comedy film starring many Broadway actors and shot in New York in the fall of 2008. Overseeing the post-production of "The Big Gay Musical," Embrem intends to premiere it at film festivals during the summer of 2009. For more information, please visit www.embrem.com. The movie musical was co-directed by Casper Andreas and Fred M. Caruso. Embrem acquired the not-yet-edited film from Caruso, who is also the film's writer and producer. Embrem is providing finishing funds and will take the film through its post production stage, with the intent to premiere it at film festivals in the summer of 2009. Andreas, a multi award-winning writer and director, recently released his second feature "A Four Letter Word" on DVD. His third film "Between Love & Goodbye" is currently playing select US theaters, and is soon to be released on DVD by Embrem together with TLA Releasing. "Though I initially was hired just to co-direct "The Big Gay Musical," I am thrilled to be taking on a producing role and assist in getting the film completed and distributed worldwide," says Andreas. "The film tells a very sweet and wonderful story about self-acceptance and being true to who you are. It has amazing song and dance numbers and a fantastic cast of Broadway actors, singers and dancers. I am very proud to be part of it and can't wait to bring it to audiences." "This movie combines my love of both the theatre and film," says Caruso in a statement. "I am very excited that we now will be able to get it out to audiences everywhere." Caruso is releasing the soundtrack for "The Big Gay Musical" in the summer of 2009, and will also be in charge of the film's theatrical release in U.S. theaters. "The Big Gay Musical" stars dozens of Broadway veterans, including Liz McCartney ("Taboo", "South Pacific"), Jim Newman ("Curtains", "Minnelli on Minnelli"), Joey Dudding ("A Chorus Line", "La Cage"), Marty Thomas ("Xanadu", "Wicked", "The Secret Garden"), Andre Ward ("Xanadu", "Saturday Night Fever"), Daniel Robinson ("Hairspray"), Jeff Metzler ("Mary Poppins"), Brian Spitulnik ("Chicago"), Josh Cruz ("Wig Out"), Celina Carvajal ("Tarzan" & Reality TV show "The Search of Elle Woods") and Steve Hayes, one of the stars of the film "Trick".
